About us
Justice & family law supervision Swiss is the only association in Switzerland that specifically campaigns for fundamental reforms in child and adult protection as well as in the judiciary and authorities. It highlights abuses, represents the interests of those affected and calls for an independent supervisory authority to prevent corruption and abuse of office.
Through public relations work, events and a specialist library with over 900 works in four languages, the association raises awareness of forced measures and placements. Historically, it was jointly responsible for the federal government’s official apology event on April 11, 2013 for the injustice committed against Verdingkindern and is still fighting for reappraisal, access to files and restitution today.
Phil Ruch-Leon
Phil Ruch-Leon is an entrepreneur, father of two children and member of the Center Party of the City of Zurich. For over 14 years, he has been politically committed to an environmentally friendly, competitive economy and an independent and neutral Switzerland. He has initiated numerous parliamentary initiatives together with members of the National Council and supports legislative proposals that promote genuine gender equality and the compatibility of work and family life.
For him, one thing is certain: Switzerland must create modern and progressive framework conditions in a globalized world in order to remain fit for the future. The next generation needs fair opportunities in education, at work and in the family environment.
He is concerned to see how direct democracy is losing its balance. In his opinion, far-reaching reforms in the judiciary and administration are needed to effectively counter abuse of power and corruption.
Rahel Magdalena Rolli
Rahel Magdalena Rolli was born in Schaffhausen in 1966 and is the mother of two adult children. After training as a watch and jewelry specialist, she worked for over two decades in the field of assisted visitation rights. In this role, she looked after countless families and experienced first-hand how severely official intervention can strain or even destroy the relationship between parents and children. Her goal has always been to preserve peace of mind in families or to restore it where it has been lost through government action.
In 2020, she was awarded 2nd prize in the Swiss Autobiography Awards at the University of Zurich for her autobiographical work. Today, she works as a freelance broadcaster for a local radio station. On the side, she continues to campaign for visitation rights that do not degenerate into a formality, but become a real opportunity for relationships.
Alina Ochsner
Alina Ochsner, 22, is studying law and is politically active in the Young SVP. Creativity is essential for her. She likes to paint, read, write and express herself in public speeches.
Working with children is particularly close to her heart. She would also like to champion their cause professionally, be it in the legal field or in a role where she helps young people to actively shape their future.
Their motivation is clear: children need protection, prospects and real opportunities, not just on paper, but in everyday life.
Sofia Ruch
Sofia Ruch is a clinical psychologist with a Lacanian psychoanalytical orientation and specializes in legal psychology and parental alienation syndrome. Born in Bern in 1988, she grew up in Brazil and is the mother of an eight-year-old child.
She researches the psychological effects of parental conflict on children and provides therapeutic support to affected families. As a registered expert at the Court of Bahia, she prepares family court reports in cases of parental alienation, violence and custody conflicts.
From her daily work, she knows how much children suffer from unresolved family conflicts and how urgently fairer solutions are needed in family law.
Dominique Berchier
Dominique Berchier was born in Switzerland in 1952. After the early separation of her parents, she and her sister were placed in an orphanage several times. Her time in the orphanage in Burtigny, which she experienced as a place of deep suffering, was particularly formative (more on this in the program “Enfances brisées – Temps Présent” on French-speaking Swiss television). Later, like many other children, she was officially recognized by the Swiss Confederation as a victim of state coercion.
She is the mother of four children and grandmother of seven grandchildren. She trained as a furrier and obtained a federal diploma as a master of her trade. She also trained in alternative healing methods such as Reiki, Karuna, radiesthesia and Somatic Experiencing (SE) according to Peter Levine.
Through her life's journey and her diverse education, she tries to understand what it really means to be human. She describes herself as someone who was born in hell, with a firm determination to complete her life in paradise on earth - for herself, her children and society.
Peter Bertschinger
Peter Bertschinger is a trained bicycle and motorcycle mechanic and has been working in toolmaking for 20 years. In the past, he also looked after young people in his company as a self-employed person. As a former SVP member in the canton of Zurich, he is familiar with both political and personal challenges.
In his own family environment, he was confronted with official measures that he felt were overbearing and unnecessarily costly. Despite these experiences, he managed to steer his two sons in the right direction on his own and guide them responsibly into adulthood.
His personal experiences motivate him today to campaign for a fundamental reform of legislation.

Kurt W. Gäggeler
Foster child, contemporary witness, family man
Life
Kurt W. Gäggeler was born in Bern in 1951. Because his parents did not look after him, he grew up with friends of his father’s from the age of two. His childhood and youth were characterized by institutional guardianship, restricted decision-making and recurring arbitrary treatment by the authorities.
Important decisions about his name, his place of residence and his choice of career were made over his head. It was only as he got older that he began to rebel against these restrictions and reclaim his independence.
Activities and commitment
Today, Kurt W. Gäggeler can look back on a fulfilling professional and family life. As a child of divorce, he is particularly proud of the fact that his marriage has lasted to this day.
He is committed to consistently coming to terms with the injustice suffered by foster and foster children. It is particularly important to him that the denial and trivialization of this chapter is no longer tolerated.
His aim is to ensure that the experiences of his generation are taken seriously as testimonies – publicly, comprehensibly and socially effective.
